Hi Max!
I encountered a similar problem and my internet research revealed it goes at least back to the Microsoft Office 2003 Service Pack 2 with which it seems to be introduced. And it seems to occur only with nested folders. When you start at the bottom last subfolder(s)
and you move your way up, than it should work and you can restructure them at the destination mailbox. Is this solution in an Outlook 2010 not possible anymore?
The setting where "my" error occurs is based on Exchange Server 2003 and Outlook 2003 on Windows XP Prof, all full patched.
While reading your proposed solution I want to clarify the part of new Outlook profiles.
As far as I understand the initial post from Anas and while looking at my settings, the second mailbox is added to an Outlook profile and now I try to move one folder from the additional mailbox to the "primary" or personal mailbox.
Do I understand your concerns correctly, that even with delegating and setting the option "Delegate can see my private items" a move will fail if I open both mailboxes through one Outlook (2003) profile?
To be sure all will work, I have to create two new Outlook profiles, one to set the delegation and another to open only the destination mailbox?
After opening only the destination mailbox, how do you suggest to reach the folder to move it?
I assume you will suggest to open the folder via File/ Open /Other User's Folder?
I will be able to test it later this day (I'm living'n'breathing in UTC+2, it's 11:00am...) and provide an update of my findings.
thanks in advance, oaito
